Question 1

What is a missed connection?

Accepted Answer

A missed connection is a moment where you noticed someone in real life, on the train, in a café, at a concert, and never got to talk to them. Looking4U lets you post that moment so the other person can find it.

Question 2

How do I find someone I met once but did not talk to?

Accepted Answer

Post where and when you saw them, what you noticed and what you wish you had said. Posts are tied to a place, so someone who was there at that time can search for it and reach out. Everything stays private until both people confirm.

Question 3

Is Looking4U a Craigslist Missed Connections alternative?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Craigslist shut down its personals and missed connections section in 2018. Looking4U is a mobile app built for exactly that purpose, with location-based posts, moderation and safety tools.

Question 4

Is Looking4U free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Posting, searching and getting found are free. An optional premium subscription adds extras but is not required.

Question 5

Is it creepy to look for someone you saw once?

Accepted Answer

Not when it is mutual. On Looking4U nobody is tracked or identified: you describe a moment, and only a person who recognises that moment and wants to be found will respond. No public profiles, no swiping.
